MyMedicare is a new voluntary registration program designed to help Australians build a stronger, ongoing relationship with their regular GP and clinic. At Shenton Park Family Practice, we’re proud to be part of this initiative, as it supports better continuity of care and helps us deliver more personalised healthcare for you and your family.
MyMedicare allows you to officially register with your chosen general practice and preferred GP. By doing this, your healthcare team can better coordinate your care, understand your medical needs, and support you more effectively over time.
Registration is completely free and voluntary.
By linking yourself with Shenton Park Family Practice, you can enjoy several benefits:
Better continuity means your doctor gets a clearer picture of your health history and your ongoing needs.
You may receive more targeted follow-up, including help managing chronic conditions or complex health needs.
When needed, we can more easily collaborate with specialists, hospitals, and other healthcare providers involved in your care.
MyMedicare helps ensure the right services are available at the right time, especially for patients who need regular review and support.
You can sign up if you:
Have a valid Medicare card or DVA Veteran Card, and
Have visited Shenton Park Family Practice at least once in the past 24 months.
Registering is simple. You can do it in two ways:
Log in to your Medicare Online Account via myGov or use the Medicare app.
Search for Shenton Park Family Practice and select your preferred GP.
Visit us in person.
Our reception team can help you complete the form on the spot.
Your information remains secure and protected. Registration does not give Medicare access to your medical notes — it simply links you with your regular practice for better care coordination.
